First off, if you've never visited Brighton, I would highly recommend going! It's one of my favourite places to visit, especially in the summer. We went for 3 days in July so I thought I'd make my first little post a recap of what we got up to. Before going this summer, I’d only ever been for my mums hen party so I didn’t really know what to do in Brighton other than hen party themed events, so if you’re heading to Brighton I hope this inspires some things!

First thing we done when we finally arrived in Brighton was head to the Sea Life Center, I feel like no matter where you go, visiting the Sea Life Centers is a must. I'm not a huge fan of fish or anything that lives in the sea because honestly, they all just creep me out, but nevertheless it was still fun. That evening, we spent what felt like forever trying to find somewhere to have dinner, we eventually decided on a little italian family run restaurant in the center of the town. ( Can't remember the name of the place but the pizza was soooo good! )

And then, that night which was probably the most exciting part of the trip, we visited a secret cocktail place called Alcotraz. It's an over 18's themed event which I would highly encourage doing if you're into cocktails and a little role play set up. I honestly didn't know what to expect when we turned up. From the outside the place looks a little abandoned and honestly, like a legit prison. They definitely set the scene from the get go.

From having to sneak your own alcohol in to having to wear the bright orange jumpsuits, you're made to feel like a prisoner as soon as you walk in. You get put into your own 'cells' when you arrive and a 'prison warden' then comes to take your smuggled alcohol. After that you have no control over what cocktails you get served, and honestly, they near enough killed me off. The majority of the cocktails we were given were very fruity based but I thought they were soo strong, my little soul couldn't handle them. You get 4 cocktails in total which was more than enough for the hour or so we was there.

After the event finished, we took our remaining alcohol back to the hotel room and spent the rest of the night at a bar and then a little pub in the center.

The next day we had a mini golf game booked for 11am and after those cocktails and drinks the night before, we were not feeling fresh. We still went and played at Globalls which was in the marina so after the game we had a little walk round and it honestly felt like we was on holiday abroad somewhere. The weather was soo nice and the marina itself was gorgeous!

We then had lunch at TGI Friday's and went back to the hotel. We were going to do a day of shopping but we were both so tired I think we slept the majority of the afternoon. We then got ready and headed out for dinner. Obviously due to the Covid restrictions a lot of places were fully booked for the evening so we wandered around forever trying to find somewhere. We ended up deciding on a place called Patty & Bun. Hands down one of the best burgers and fries I've ever had, would highly recommend. We didn't do much that night as it was a Friday and everywhere needed reservations and we obviously wasn't that prepared.

The Saturday we spent the morning having breakfast at The Harvester before packing up our suitcases and checking out. We wandered round a few shops and then headed home.

Thanks for reading this little ( slightly large ) first blog post. Someone on Instagram told me she uses her blog as a memory / photo album and I loved that idea so I hope you enjoyed this one! I hope this post was helpful for finding what to do in Brighton if you're thinking of going!
