I love reading or watching current favourites and I did originally want to do monthly favourites on my blog but clearly, we’re 3 months into the year and I haven’t done one, so I thought I’d do a collective favourites for the start of 2021 and then try and carry on monthly favourites in April. This is the plan anyways, so let’s see how it goes. Anywaaaaaaays, I hope you enjoy..
The first favourite I have is this hyaluronic acid from The Inkey List. I think I originally ordered mine from amazon, I did originally found it on the Feel Unique website, however it was out of stock on there hence the Amazon order. I think it’s out of stock on a few websites as this brand seems to be all over social media atm and rightly so because it’s so affordable! I like this serum more than some of the other serums I have tried because I feel like it’s a tiny bit thicker and easier to blend and soak into my skin. The only thing I do find annoying about this, I feel like I’ve used it up quite quick because the tube itself is a squeezy tube so you can’t really control how much comes out. For the price though I’m definitely not complaining.
Another favourite is this Herbal Essences sulphate free Aloe & Mango Shampoo. I only bought this shampoo because it contains Aloe and I read a thing on Pinterest that aloe is supposed to help with greasy hair. I don’t know how true that is but I’m such a sucker for anything that says it’ll work. The mango scent in this as well is soo nice. I also love the fact that is is sulphate free and cruelty free. I’m not sure it’s helped with the greasiness of my hair but it does make my hair feel super clean and soft so I’m going to continue buying it.
I ordered this Cetaphil face wash because my skin recently has been so problematic and constantly changing from extremely dry to oily. So I ordered this face wash as I always see people suggesting this face wash or the Cerave ones, I was originally using the Cerave Foaming Cleanser which is for normal to oily skin. I think using that face wash twice a day was stripping my face too much so now I switch it up between the both of them. I like this Cetaphil one because you don’t have to use water with it, you can use it as a face wash or just as an everyday cleanser with a cotton pad. It leaves my skin feeling soft and I do think it’s helped slightly with the problems on my chin.
I LOVE a hair mask and I’ve seen so many hyping up these Garnier Hair Food Masks. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about the whole ‘Hair Food’ range as I think they’re all vegan formulated and made with natural ingredients. I got this Papaya & Alma mask as it’s advertised as repairing and I dye my hair and heat etc so I wanted something that was going to help ‘repair’ my hair. I like these masks as well as they are 3 in 1 so you can use it as a hair mask, leaving it in for 3 minutes and then washing out, you can use it as a normal conditioner just rinsing out straightaway or you can use it as a leave in hair mask to help seal and cover spilt ends. I personally like putting it into to my dry hair in the morning and then spending the day in plaits to let it soak in my hair and then wash it out in the shower that evening. It leaves my hair so soft and shiny. Personally, I’m not a fan of the smell, it’s not overwhelming but when it’s left in my hair all day I can randomly smell it and I’m just not a fan of it. Other than that, they’re so affordable and I’d highly recommend trying them.
The last product that I want to include is this Dove exfoliating body scrub. I got this included in a set for Christmas from Home Bargains and I did originally think you couldn’t purchase this by itself. I did find it on the Superdrug website so now I’m super excited I know I can keep repurchasing. I love using body scrubs just for general exfoliating before shaving but I do find this scrub removes fake tan so well too. The smell of this a well is sooo nice! It smells so fresh and clean and leaves my skin so soft. I find some body scrubs can be really harsh on my skin but this one is so smooth and is definitely one of the best body scrubs I’ve ever used.
Another few random things I’ve been loving throughout the start of 2021:
- Keeping up with the Kardashians. I’ve not watched anything else throughout the whole lockdown, I’m so sad it’s ending this month so I’ve literally watched every single episode from start to finish.
- Scrapbooking. I recently found a girl on tik tok who makes these scrapbook / bullet journals and calls them her ‘living scrapbook’. I’ll add a link to one of her videos here so you can check them out! They’re so much fun.
- Fruitella chewy sweets. This is so random, but I’ve been staying at my boyfriends for this whole lockdown and every now and then my mum and step dad will drop off random things for us and they added a bag of fruitellas and honestly, I want them everyday.

I don’t think I have any other current favourites to add, I’ll probably post this and then remember about 20 different things. Let me know anything you’ve been loving anything this past month, or in 2021 in general. Thanks for reading if you got this far, I’ve definitely rambled.
Thank you!!
I'm using The Inkey List Hyaluronic acid at the moment too and love it! xx
