mini drugstore haul
Is there anything better than going into a drugstore for one thing and coming out with a hundred other things? I love checking out all the drugstore make up products and trying them out, so I decided to treat myself today after work. I obviously haven’t bought a lot but I thought I’d share with you my little mini drugstore haul!

body collection liquid illuminator

So first up, I picked up this Body Collection liquid illuminator. Obviously, everyone had the hype of the Iconic London liquid highlighters and rightly so, they look incredible, however... they’re around £30, this Body Collection one is £3! I’ve never really tried liquid highlight drops, but I’ve always loved the look of the Iconic London ones so I thought I’d give these ones a try! They had to shades a more pink toned one and a bronze toned one. I opted for the pink shade and I love it!! I’ve only swatched it on my arm so far but the colour is soo nice, it’s a champagne / rose tinted colour. I also thought it was going to be really watery considering it’s a liquid highlight but it’s actually quite thick. It blended out so nicely, I’m excited to use this in my makeup routine and see how it performs with other products.

Body collection blusher stick

I’ve been loving the natural / glowy / sun kissed no make - up / make - up looks lately and I always see people use cream blush to get that flushed look. I haven’t found a cream blush that I like the look of anywhere yet but I did like the idea of this blusher stick. I’m not very talented or experienced when it comes to applying blush so I thought I’d try this and see how it looks! From the swatch it seems to have a little bit of shimmer in which will help for the glowy / natural look. I’m curious to see how this applies on top of makeup and if the shimmer is strong enough to shine through foundation / powder etc. This was £2.50!

Every lipstick I buy is pretty much the same shade so please don’t ever expect anything drastic when it comes to lip colours however, this colour is sooo cute! The website states that it’s an orange shade, I definitely do think it has an orange tint to it it’s more a coral / pink / nude colour! It’s perfect for natural days or days where you just want a little bit of colour to your lips nothing crazy. I also love the fact it’s not fully matte nor full shine it’s the perfect in between shade. These lipsticks are £2.30.

essence soft & precise liner - bold 03 & essence stay 8hr waterproof liner - just perfect 02.

I picked up 2 lip liners from Essence too, again near enough the exact same colours but we move. I got the soft and precise liner in the shade ‘bold - 03’. These liners are £1!! That’s crazy cheap and they’re such lovely lip liners. I’ve used these before in a different shade and they apply so smoothly and almost creamy. I thought this colour matched the lipstick quite nicely and for a pound, you cannot complain! I also picked up the stay 8hr waterproof liner in the shade ‘just perfect - 02’. Again pretty much the same pinky nude colour, I just picked this one up because it said 8hr wear and it was waterproof so I’m excited to try this one out! This liner was £1.80.

Another lip product but I love a gloss! This colour is soo cute as well I couldn’t not get it. It’s pinky shade gloss with hints of gold throughout. I’ve swatched this on my arm and it didn’t feel sticky or tacky which is great because I hate a sticky gloss. I’m yet to test this on my lips on it’s own or over the top of a liner or lipstick but the colour is gorgeous! This was £2.

I’m really no expert when it come’s to brows, I always want to splurge on the more expensive brow products but I just can’t justify it when I’m not that great at shaping them / filling them in. I got this pen because I love the shape of the pen, it creates the most perfect hair like strokes so I feel like this is going to be perfect at creating a natural fluffy looking brow! I love the look of a natural brow so I’m hoping this is going to make filling my brows in a lot easier. I got the shade dark brown. This was £2.50.

Lastly, ( if you made it this far, thank you & well done haha! ) I got this Essence lash princess mascara. I’ve heard SO many people rave about these lash princess mascaras so I’ve finally got one. They’ve been out of stock for so long, so I managed to get the last one of this waterproof mascara. I’m not usually a fan of waterproof mascara’s, I think they’re so much harder to take off and almost ruin my lashes in the process. However, I’m eager to try this so I’ve sacrificed haha! i love the shape of the brush too so I’m hoping this is going to make my lashes look amazing! This was £3.30.

That’s the end of my mini drugstore haul, I always seem to make an essay out of a small blog post, however if you’ve made it this far thank you for reading haha! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products ! :-)
